Manipulating rectangles into a pattern pieces without waste.
The project takes the rectangle as a cornerstone of clothing.
The woven suit created with cuts and folds that together with a fusing printing paste create the pattern pieces of the garment as well as the pattern on the garments itself. Zero-waste technique creates the interplay of soft and moldable with stiff and static, frame defining. The print defines the shape anew and creates detailing of the clothing.
The knitted set of a top and a skirt starts out with the same idea of transforming a rectangle into a shape of clothing patterns. This is achieved by the defining the structures of the knitwear and their properties that can shape the initially rectangular knitted piece.
